The Charlotte Bobcats just may avoid slipping this year, if they can finish the season with a record matching last season.

What happened to the Bobcats? Jason Richardson was a huge boost to the offense, while Nazr Muhammed helped to fill an inside presence. Gerald Wallace continued to progress offensively, and Jarod Dudley quickly became a quality reserve. Still, so many things went wrong.

• Sam Vincent –

He certainly wasn’t what the ‘Cats needed. Will he still be around to waste next season?

• Matt Carroll –

He struggled off the bench and had several long shooting slumps. Can he find his role with the team next season?

• Raymond Felton –

He was the victim of Vincent’s mistakes (Jeff McInnis). Does he return as a full time PG?

• Emeka Okafor –

His offensive growth has stopped, and he fumbled away a half-dozen points each game. Do the Bobcats sign him to a big contract? Are they married to this project?

• May + Morrison –

Neither clocked a minute this season. What could they provide for the ‘Cats in 09? Morrison certainly could have lightened the weight on Carroll’s back. Sean May doesn’t look to lighten anything. Will he be able to play again?
